In Metal Gear Solid 1, why does Liquid Snake Demand Big Boss's genes from the president?
I know he hates him and wants revenge, but if Big Boss is already dead, why was one of Liquid Snake's demands to have Big Boss's genes?
1) Going off of JUST MGS1, Big Boss was the perfect soldier, and Liquid wanted to recreate the Les Enfants Terribles experiment, and produce clones. Then, he could make a perfect army like Big Boss had in Outer Heaven.
2) Going of off MGS4, Big Boss' DNA was the key to controlling Zero's nanomachines. Solid Snake, and Liquids were altered just a little and couldn't be used to control the AI system.
All in all, Big Boss was made into a God or legend by Zero, and therefore controlling his genes provided access to the Patriots AI system, as well as the ability to make elite soldiers.
